I have had men in my
family who raced since I was a little girl. I just
got sick of watching. I put together a 1976 Ford
HiBoy 4x4 with a 700 hp engine and just went out
and had fun last year. This spring, my husband
bought me a 1923 Ford T Bucket Altered, and we put
that 700 hp bigblock Ford in it. I debuted the car
4th of July weekend, and have been enjoying the
ride since! I currently compete in IHRA sanctioned
Mod ET class, dialed in at 9.08 in the quarter
mile. Running about 147 mph. I am the only female
in Alaska ever to race an altered.
Schedule
Being as this is Alaska, our race season opens
Memorial day and ends Labor day.
