first Rose Cup was won by Jerry Grant, driving a
Ferrari Testa Rossa owned by Dick Hahn. This year,
Hahn’s daughter Cindi Lux brought her SCCA
SPEED World Challenge GT Dodge Viper to try for the
win.

The Dodge Vipers of NayKid Racing make the jump
from SCCA Club Racing to SPEED GT at Long Beach
this weekend (April 15) with newcomer Cindi Lux of
Aloha, OR. She was gridded 22nd of 32 cars and
worked her way up to finish17th.
The next weekend she finished 16th at Long Beach.
And she took 13th at Tooele, Utah.

series for 2007. The team won't be ready for
Sebring but to debut their Dodge Vipers in the

Cindi Lux Becomes a Slacker in
2012
In the world of auto racing, Cindi Lux has always
been known as aggressive and cutting-edge on and
off the race track. In 2012, she will become a
"Slacker". The Aloha, Ore.-resident will team with
Slacker, Incorporated and the lifestyle branding
and services provider just might give her a run for
her money when it comes to innovation. The 12-time
road racing champion has signed a two-year personal
services agreement with the Akron, Ohio-based
Slacker, Inc. (www.SlackerInc.com) that will see
one of the world's leading female race car drivers
promote a full line of Slacker, Inc. products and
services in auto racing.
Slacker's core business of motorsports products
and services for teams and corporate partners
offers not only a unique line of retail motorsport
items but business-to-business opportunities as
well.
Slacker Incorporated will work with Lux to
develop original and social media concepts the
Inaugural ALMS Women's Global GT Series Champion
has created but not had the tools to implement
until now. In kind, Slacker, Inc. will use the
partnership to further develop its internal assets
in these creative areas.
Lux, the Oregon Motorsports Museum Association's
2011 Lifetime Achievement Award-winner, will
utilize and promote Slacker products and services
for the 2012 and 2013 race seasons. All team
clothing and accessories will come from Slacker's
extensive product line while the company will also
provide additional marketing and branding services
to the winner of 75-career races. Lux is currently
finalizing her plans for the 2012 race season as a
driver in addition to the plans for Lux Performance
Group, LLC. - a full-service race and development

Rose Cup Promises One
Mother of a Father's Day for Local Cindi Lux
The Portland Rose Festival's Rose Cup Races have
become a tradition in the Northwest as closely tied
to the annual city celebration as any other
activity. Cindi Lux has never known any other way
to spend the June weekend but at the region's
largest gathering of racers. The Aloha,
Ore.-resident's father, Dick Hahn (Yakima, Wash.),
won the inaugural event 52 years ago and in 2011
Lux became the highest-placing woman in the history
of the Rose Cup Feature Race by finishing third.
This Father's Day, Lux will attempt to join her Dad
on the list of storied winners when she rolls out
the No. 5 SRT Viper Competition Coupe Fueled by
Black Rock Coffee against a daunting cast of
characters who specialize on the 1.967-mile,
12-turn Portland International Raceway road course.
The 45-minute race pitches a wide-variety of nearly
unrestricted racecars against one-another on June
17 and assures to live up to its tradition as one
of the most hotly contested club events of the
season. It promises to be one mother of a Father's
Day when the green flag falls for the top event of
the multi-race weekend.
Lux again brings an exciting group of partners
to the Rose Cup this year. Chief among those is the
return of the SRT Viper Competition Coupe to the
Northwest's most celebrated club event. First
through its Dodge brand and now with SRT, the Viper
platform has had a dominating racing history since
1989. Lux first piloted the V10-powered machine in
2005 dominating the SCCA Club T1 category with
SRT10s until 2007. For 2008, the Oregon Motorsports
Museum Association Lifetime Achievement
Award-recipient moved into the SCCA Pro World
Challenge Series with the Viper Comp. Coupe. In
2012, she returns to the factory driver ranks with
SRT driving a freshly-built Competition Coupe while
also overseeing the two-car Viper ACR-X "Celebrity
Program" in the SRT Viper Cup.
Lux has raced the Viper platform three times in
the Rose Cup. In 2009, she brought the World
Challenge-ready Viper Comp. Coupe before turning to
the then-new ACR-X in 2010. Last year the 1999
Women's Global GT Series Champion returned to the
Competition Coupe. Earlier this year, SRT - now a
stand-alone marque under Chrysler - announced both
a new-for-2013 road going Viper and the SRT Viper
GTS-R for American Le Mans Series GT racing
competition. The move highlights SRT's commitment
to top-level motorsports through its road-going
product line.
Fueling Lux is Black Rock Coffee Bar

together in 2011's Rose Cup, Black Rock found the
event and partnership with Cindi Lux so successful
they have upped their on-site commitment and

Supporting Variety of Racers at 52nd Rose Cup
Races
Lux Performance Group has long been considered a
leader in motorsports preparation and race weekend
operations but for the 52nd Annual Portland Rose
Festival Rose Cup Races, the Aloha, Ore.-based
organization is taking it up a notch. Cindi Lux,
president and co-owner of Lux Performance with her
husband Fred, announced a two-prong attack on the
June 16-17 Portland racing tradition with two
entries. Cindi Lux will drive the No. 5 SRT Viper
Competition Coupe Fueled by Black Rock Coffee while
Steve Streimer (Sherwood, Ore.) will race a Porsche
911 GT3 Cup entry at Portland International Raceway
(PIR).
Lux Performance Group specializes in all
performance cars, not only SRT products. Showcasing
this expertise, Streimer is campaigning a partial
season of Pirelli GT3 Cup USA under the Lux
Performance banner. In 2011, Streimer finished with
a pair of second-place finishes in Pirelli Cup
Silver class. Lux Performance Group has prepared
and setup Streimer's Porsche for the last two
seasons. Porsche's 911 GT3 Cup is the world's
highest production racecar with one-make series and
multi-make classes competing around the world.
In 2012, Lux Performance Group returns as an SRT
"skunk works" operation doing research on a newly
built Viper Competition Coupe. Cindi Lux will drive
the V10-powered Viper in the June 17 Rose Cup

Manage 3rd-Season Of SRT Viper Cup Celebrity
Program
In a week which has seen the public unveiling of
the much anticipated 2013 SRT Viper road car, Lux
Performance Group, LLC has made it's own SRT
Viper-related news by being named, for the third
consecutive season, the official managing team of
the SRT Viper Cup presented by Pennzoil Ultra
"celebrity/guest" driver program. As has been the
case in the two proceeding years, the Aloha,
Ore.-based organization will provide expert
preparation of the pair of SRT Viper ACR-X race
cars. In addition, 12-time, road-racing champion
Cindi Lux, also of Aloha, Ore., continues in her
acclaimed role as driver coach prior to and during
race weekends for the two guest drivers at each of
the five weekends of SRT Viper Cup competition.
A nationally recognized racer and 2012 SRT
factory driver, Lux has become one of the most
sought-after driving coaches in the business. Her
expertise with turning amateurs into race car
drivers is rooted in her race driving experience,
as a private instructor, coach to the "stars" of
the Grand Prix of Long Beach Celebrity race as well
as lead instructor at Miller Motorsports Park.
Since the inception of the SRT Viper Cup in 2010 -
then known as the Dodge Viper Cup - the 2011
Lifetime Achievement Award from Oregon Motorsports
Museum Association-recipient has offered her
instruction skill to 15 drivers ranging from
absolute amateurs to trained media to professional

be the first guest drivers of the 2012 season when
they debut the cars April 13-15 at Road
Atlanta.
Lux Performance Group lead engineer and crew
chief Fred Lux has used the off-season to prepare
the pair of SRT Viper ACR-X race cars for the new
season. With a bevy of performance solutions from
the SRT and Mopar catalogs, the V10-powered,
not-road-legal, race cars have had complete
overhauls since their 2011 race season finale. With
a focus on safety and speed, the front-engined
machines have undergone meticulous rebuilds to
ensure each celebrity driver will enjoy peak
performance in the highly competitive one-make
series.
The 10-race championship will see guest drivers
in the two Lux Performance-prepped American
supercars at five renowned North America road
courses. The season opens on April 14 at Road
Atlanta (Braselton, Ga.) with Rounds One and Two.
On May 12, Lux Performance Group transports the
show to Road America (Elkhart Lake, Wisc.) for the
third and fourth races. The tree-lined Virginia
International Raceway (Danville, Vir.) will see the
fifth and sixth rounds contested on July 7 and 8,
respectively. August 25-26, Monticello Motor Club
in Monticello N.Y. will host races seven and eight
while the season closes at Watkins Glen
International (Watkins Glen, N.Y.) on October 20
and 21.

Cindi Lux takes podium
finish in Rose Cup Race
Aloha's Cindi Lux added yet another accolade to her
already stellar motorsports resume on Sunday. The
12-time, road racing champion earned her first
career podium with a third-place finish in the 51st
Annual Rose Cup Race at Portland International
Raceway (PIR). In the process of setting her
personal-best in the Rose Cup, Lux, driving the No.
4 Black Rock Coffee Bar-Lux Performance Dodge Viper
Competition Coupe, also made event history. The
daughter of the inaugural winner of the race, Dick
Hahn, became the first woman in the 51-year history
of the Rose Cup to finish on the podium.
Lux, who had previously won her class at Rose
Cup support races but never finished better than
fourth in the main event, drove a spectacular race
to overcome a substantial horsepower disadvantage.
Starting fifth against the unrestricted, high-power
competition, the 2003 Oregon SCCA National Driver
of the Year never placed a wheel wrong during the
45-minute race. She fought her way into third-place
before lap 20 when the first, full-course caution
bunched the field. With such a massive power
disparity, the Viper fell to fourth nearing the
restart. However, the pass came while still under
caution and race officials swapped the order. With
the precise setup placed under her by husband/crew
chief Fred Lux, the former Dodge and Mopar factory
driver was able to hold-off the subsequent,
unassisted assault. Lux kept third until the
checkered flag fell.
Cindi Lux became the first woman in Rose Cup
history to earn a podium.
Despite always downplaying her place in the
progress and success of women in motorsports, the
75-time race winner is credited with several major
milestones for females race drivers. Lux bettered
over 150 other drivers to win the inaugural
American Le Mans Series' Women's Global GT Series
championship in 1999. She was named the 1999
Pro-Driver SCCA Driver-of-the-Year and was
presented the Northwest Pat Piggot Memorial Award
for the most outstanding driver in 1992. She also
became only the second woman in history to win the
prestigious SCCA June Sprints in 2004 and repeated
the feat in 2006.
The Rose Cup weekend at PIR, which supports the
annual Rose Festival, was the debut of Black Rock
Coffee Bar into the world of motorsports marketing.
By all accounts, the relationship with Lux
Performance Group was a resounding success for all
concerned. Black Rock Coffee Bar, a Portland-area
franchise which features premium-blend coffees sold
via an easy drive-thru format, embraced the event
using its social media platform, eight-area
locations and a concentrated on-site program to
maximize its partnership with Lux. The tie-in
helped bring guests to Black Rock locations across
Oregon, Washington and California as well as
introduced the product to hundreds of track workers
and spectators at PIR.
In addition to the Dodge Viper entered for Cindi
Lux, Lux Performance Group also prepared and
managed the Pirelli Cup entry for driver Steve
Streimer. Streimer scored his personal career best
in the one-make Porsche 911 GT3 Cup series race
finishing second. The success of the weekend was
not only a testimony to the driver's efforts, but
to Lux Performance Group's preparation of the
German car and the coaching ability of Cindi Lux
who has been instructing Streimer for four
years.
"I don't think I could have driven my Black Rock
Coffee Bar Viper Comp. Coupe any harder in this
race! I asked 110% of out of the race car for 45
minutes and she held up like a champ. I cannot
speak enough about the quality prep that comes from
our guys on the Lux Performance team. They gave me
the best race car I have driven in a long time; it
was on rails. Finishing third is respectable but
only gets me fired-up to climb the final two steps
in future years. I am never satisfied and always
pushing myself to do better. That is especially
true here, in front of my hometown crowd! Having
Black Rock Coffee Bar on board this weekend was
pretty cool. It kept me personally 'fueled' up and
ready to attack. Overall a great weekend."
About racing her home track: "Racing in my
hometown is always significant to me and I really
try to juggle my crazy schedule to allow me a few
days off to race the Rose Cup each year. I'm really
looking forward to seeing all the Portland fans at
the track. I have gotten to know so many of the
fans over the years of coming here it's like coming
to a family reunion. This race carries so much
personal importance to me. I want to go out there
and do my best for my family, for Black Rock and
for the city! This is going to be like a giant shot
of Black Rock espresso!"
