My name is Brittany Marcotte and I am from
Trabuco Cyn, California. My Dad use to ride when he
was younger and asked if my twin sister Bry and I
would like to try it. We were always into out
of the ordinary sort of sports and agreed to
at least try it. So on our 11th birthday our
parents got us our first dirt bikes and we were
hooked ever since then. I continue to ride because,
personally, I set goals for myself and I never give
up until I have reached my goals. Not only is
motocross my lifestyle now, but its my passion and
my goal to get to the top one day and race XGames
as well next year.
I get inspired easily from my favorite bands to
athletes like Vicki Golden and Ashley Fiolek. My
favorite food would be Alfredo pasta and broccoli
and my favorite movie is Speak.
The most difficult thing I have had to overcome
was definitely my struggle with depression which
put me into the hospital 2 years ago. If it
wasnt for my passion for racing and riding
and of course my loving friends and family, I
wouldnt be where I am today. The most
exciting part is the fans! I love racing and no
matter what place you come off at, there are always
people cheering you on. It always motivates me to
stay positive and have fun!
Any sponsors you have: First and foremost I have
to thank my Savior Jesus Christ for getting me to
where I am at showing me that having a hopeful and
positive outgoing in life gets you much farther! I
of course want to thank my parents, grandparents,
and the Fiolek family for everything, and my
friends who supported me as well. Also huge shout
out to all my sponsors; One Industries, Oakley,
Yoshimura, ATI Clothing, Alpinestars, TAG Metals,
and all my fans thank you!!
Advice to other women riders out there: You ride
your best when you are having FUN! And just because
you are in a male dominated sport
doesnt mean we cant do as good or even
BETTER than the guys! So keep riding and show
everyone girls CAN ride. ;)
