                  April, 2012
First top ten of the season for McCalmont and the
                  CKS Autosports team

New strategies worked in their favor

Birmingham AL- CKS Autosports # 00 Chevy Camaro
driven by Ashley McCalmont and Brett Sandberg
finished in tenth place this past weekend at Barber
Motorsports Park. The team qualified 15th and spent
just over 50 minutes of the race under several
                  caution flags.

The CKS team decided to try a couple of new
tactics out for this race. Sandberg qualified and
did the first half of the race. For the first time,
McCalmont finished the race, spending just over an
hour and a half in the drivers seat.

The entire team worked very well together
resulting in a remarkably fast pit stop. New
strategic thinking was also employed for
advantageous track results at the Barber
Motorsports Park. The crew wanted to try only using
one pit stop as opposed to the regular two. The
theory was that they would gain valuable positions
while the other drivers went in for their second
pit stop. The theory became a reality and McCalmont
quickly moved into 10th position where she finished
                  the race.

The team is looking forward to racing in Miami
at the end of April. They have always done really
well in Miami and with a top ten under their belt
the podium is becoming more of a reality. "I think
that the race went extremely well for us, we stuck
to our one stop strategy and executed a great pit
stop thanks to all the guys at CKS, said
Sandberg. Ashley did a great job bringing the
car home and I am really looking forward to Miami
                  for another top 10!"

"Ashley and Brett did a great job this weekend.
They both avoided the chaos during the race and
survived to secure a top 10 finish!! Ashley did an
excellent job in first appearing role as finishing
driver! Ashley, Brett and driving coach Ken Wilden
have been working hard together to achieve some
good results and the efforts are starting to show.
Looking forward to see these two back in action in
Miami, said Team Crew Chief Kirk Spencer.

We were able to do a one stop pit
strategy, which worked in our favour, other teams
had to do two, so we gained positions, said
McCalmont. The Last little bit of race it
started to spit, but the rain held off until the
end. Im happy to have finished with our first
top ten of the season. Brett did a good job in the
first half and kept a really clean car.

Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge
(CTSCC) would not be a reality. McCalmont would
like to thank her sponsors. CTSCCs The Next
