Annabels racing instincts became apparant
when she was drawn to race her BMX at her local
track aged just 12. Having had a taste of racing it
was natural for her to want to race cars. After
having a present to drive at Brands Hatch her
racing passion was fuelled, although she knew it
would be tough not having come from a racing
background or any family interest in the sport and
would have to go it alone.
Sadly, a few months after her first taste of
motorsport, she was involved in a road traffic
accident, taking the following 8 years until she
could walk pain free. Her focus and determination
to race motivated her recovery, during which she
also studied Business and Finance and then Interior
Architecture as she knew she would also have to pay
for her early racing career. Since then she has
developed a successful freelance career in Interior
Architecture with many of her schemes having been
built in and around London.
Annabel has also now diversified utilising her
interest in Business and Finance by creating a
successful career as a Forex trader working at
home. This gives Annabel the flexability to further
commit to her racing career.
Annabels racing career was finally
underway in 2000 when she competed in half a season
of the Ford Fiesta Si Championship in Scotland.
Despite no actual racing background or experience,
Annabel was voted Best Female Racer in Scotland for
that year; quite an achievement in her first season
having only just made her full recovery.
