My name is Rebecca. You wouldn't believe the
life I lead at the age of 19. I started my career
at the age of 13. It was shocking because I went
from T-ball, to Dancing, to Racing!! You would
think this is a phase, but it's something I love!
My dad use to race drag cars so i've pretty much
growing into it. Go karts were my passion for two
years straight. My first year I was a mid-pack,
holding back, passive-aggressive driver and last
year, that all changed. I transformed into another
person. The person who stays on top, grew more and
more aggressive each race and eventually learned to
find specific fast points. I felt alive in my
karting days. The people I surrounded myself around
were so amazing, passionate, loving and full of
support.
"As the time goes by, you change, you learn new
things, and your attitude is different."
I've been to so many karting events, I've lost
count. My first year in karting I made it to the
Rotax Grand Nationals in Denver, Colorado. It
didn't seem so bad until I cracked my ribs and
knocked myself out of the main, ha. My second year,
I made it to the Rotax Nationals yet again, only
they were held in Shawano, Wisconsin and I've moved
up a class. As well as the Nationals, I raced in
the SKUSA Super Nationals down at the Rio hotel in
Las Vegas, Nevada. Now, I'm taking a pretty big
step, becoming a real speed demon. After two years
of full on kart racing, I decided to jump into real
cars. With all the support from my friends and
family, it pushed me to do the best I can.
