Current Residence: Salt Lake City, Utah
Lara is the co-owner of the CA Sport and has
successfully driven at the professional level since
2006. Lara's responsibilities include partner
relations, marketing and the many logistics of
motorsports.
For Lara the road to professional racing started
in her Dad's garage where she helped rebuild
hot-rods, including her first car a 57 Chevy. Upon
completing college with a degree in fine art and
communication she spent her time developing
successful advertising and healthcare businesses. A
trip to the Bondurant Road Racing school gave her a
chance to renew her love of racing. Since then she
has competed in an array of sprint and endurance
races. Originally from Southern California, Lara
and her two sons live in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lara
also enjoys windsurfing, water-skiing, snowboarding
and snow-skiing, horses, gardening, cooking and
travel.
Lara was the Supersport champion in the MPRA
series for the 2008 and 2009 seasons and was also
named Utah's Professional Athlete of the Year in
2010.

Have the belt. Need the buckle
Following the season opener at Daytona
International Speedway in Grand Am's Continental
Tire Sports Car Challenge, Skullcandy Team Nissan
is ready to get back to business at America's
newest and coolest facility in Austin, Texas, for
the second round hosted by the Circuit of the
Americas. The state of the art facility has
generated a lot of publicity and has the entire
field excited about the opportunity to show their
go. The factory supported team has a bit of living
up to do as well, having won the first round and
leading the manufacturer championship for
Nissan.
The 33 car will have Daytona standouts Vesko
Kozarov and team owner Lara Tallman behind the
wheel.
The 34 car will be driven by Mickey Miller and
Bret Spaude. Mickey, a standout in other formulas
over the last decade and an old friend of the team,
comes with a storied resume, including an
impressive 5 wins in NASA's 25 Hours of
Thunderhill. Bret joins the team following a 3 year
stint with Subaru in the series. A Grand Am regular
and the winner of the New Jersey round in last
year's championship, Bret is ready for a new
challenge and an opportunity to show his
colors.
Look for plenty of sparks as the colorful outfit
that is Skullcandy Team Nissan makes some more
noise Texas style.
Quotes
"It's awesome that in Austin we will be on the
grid with an experienced and strong line-up. I have
the very best co-driver in Vesko, and I want great
drivers in the 34 car as well. When the opportunity
to have Mickey and Bret came up, I was not going to
miss it. It seems like everyone is excited to visit
this new track and I'm no exception, but while in
Texas I'd also love to find a little seat time of
the equine variety since that's where I started
long before motorsports." team owner, Lara
Tallman.
"I am stoked to get back to the grind and get in
the war that is this series. Grand Am is one of the
most competitive championships anywhere and it will
be no easy task to repeat Daytona, but this team is
as good as any. Everyone has been working
tirelessly to make sure we are in the sharp end of
the field. Nissan will no doubt provide us with the
best equipment so it will be down to us to execute
on track. driver, 33, Vesko Kozarov
I have been following this team and the
series for some time. I knew I had to get out
there and when the chance came I jumped at it.
I will do my best to support them and deliver a
strong result. driver, 34, Mickey Miller
Having raced in this series for the last
few years, I know how competitive it is and how
difficult it is to succeed. The quality of the team
and the platform are crucial. I feel confident I am
in the right place for success and hope to show
that in Austin. It is an awesome opportunity for
me. driver, 34, Bret Spaude
Lara Heads to Madrid Spain for the Ford Focus
Global Test Drive
Salt Lake City resident, Lara Tallman, is using
her talents to give back to the community and the
world. As a successful professional race-car
driver, Lara has recently been voted Utahs
Best of State Professional Athlete for 2010. Now,
Ford Motor Company has chosen Tallman as one of 100
participants from around the world to travel to
Spain to test drive the all new Ford Focus. In
addition to sending Tallman to Spain, Ford is
donating $10,000 to the charity of her choice.
Tallman has chosen Girls, Inc. as the organization
that will receive the donation from Ford. Girls,
Inc. is a nonprofit organization that inspires and
empowers girls to reach their full potential and
understand and assert their rights. As a successful
woman in a male-dominated sport, Tallman knows that
there is nothing that should hold a girl back from
accomplishing her goals. Tallman recently returned
from Daytona with her racing team where they placed
5th out of a field of 47. Now, she is on her way to
Spain to test drive the new Ford Focus. To win this
exciting opportunity and the $10,000 for Girls,
Inc. Tallman submitted a video explaining why she
deserves to go to Spain and why Girls, Inc.
deserves Fords support. You can view her
video submission here: Lara Tallman Submission
