Bio
Hometown: Cherry Valley, Calif.
Residence: Cherry Valley, Calif.
Birthdate: 3/11/1989
Lindsey King, 19, started her racing career when
she was just 9 years old, racing go-karts in her
home state of California. She found success early
on, accumulating over 30 wins and various track and
class championships in six seasons of karting. Now
19, King has established herself as a rising talent
in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.
In 2007, after two successful seasons racing
INEX Legends cars at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway,
King made the jump to NASCAR. She raced Late Models
in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at
Irwindale Speedway, earning four top-10
finishes.
King's racing resume earned her an invitation to
the 2007 Drive for Diversity Testing &
Evaluation Combine held at South Boston (Va.)
Speedway last October. Based on her performance at
the Combine, King was selected to participate in
the Drive for Diversity program with High Point
Racing.
In 2008, King will race for High Point Racing
and the Drive for Diversity program at her home
track, Irwindale Speedway, in the NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series.

First-year Drive for Diversity member Lindsey
King was back on track in late model action at the
Toyota Speedway at Irwindale on Saturday night.
King finished eighth in the Auto Club Late Model
main event after winning the Late Model Trophy
Dash.
"We had a pretty good weekend," said King. "We
were stronger in the main than our finished showed,
but I'm happy that we could run up front in the
trophy dash. I have to thank my team at High Point
Racing and the Drive for Diversity program for all
of their support this season!"
King, a 19-year-old Cherry Valley, Calif.
native, qualified sixth of 22 cars in the No. 59
High Point Racing Chevrolet and started on the pole
for the trophy dash. She led every lap on her way
to her first victory of the season.
In the main, King started six and lost a few
positions on the start. She quickly found her
rhythm and fell in behind two cars that were
battling fiercely for position. King avoided
disaster when the two cars wrecked directly in
front of her. Her car did sustain some damage, but
she was able to hold on for the eighth-place
finish.
King is sixth in the Auto Club Late Model point
standings with two top-fives and seven top-10s in
10 starts this season.

Drive for Diversity member Lindsey King won her
first career NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
feature event on Saturday night at the Toyota
Speedway at Irwindale. King is the first female to
win an Auto Club Late Model event at the half-mile
oval.
"It's amazing," said King. "I have to thank my
dad, my team owner Tim Huddleston, everyone at High
Point Racing, and everyone with the Drive for
Diversity program for helping me get to victory
lane."
King, a first-year participant in the Drive for
Diversity program, qualified fifth for the 40-lap
feature event in the No. 59 High Point Racing
Chevrolet. She started on the outside-pole after
the invert, but was able to pull ahead of the
leader on the first lap. King went on to lead every
lap and take the checkered flag by a 0.218 second
margin of victory.
"Once I got the lead I was able to pull away at
first, but I knew they were closing in," said King.
"I just kept hitting my marks
I didn't look
in my mirror
I didn't even know what lap it
was until I saw the white flag."
King is fifth in the Auto Club Late Model point
standings with one win, three top-fives and eight
top-10s.
